I had a look to your document again. I could find part of the document (page
8), that is shown in your video.

I could change font to Arial without any problem with

Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE

Additional information: Font wasn't Liberation Serif, but (regarding to the
entry in the font list) Lohit Devanagari, a font that isn't installd on my
laptop and therefor has been replaced.
