In 6.4.2.2 (Linux) the problem still exists. Acrobat Pro's Preflight says the
PDF generated is invalid (as if some object referenced is missing). The effect
is not only that the "shfill" seems to be missing: The whole drawing seems to
be translated.

Using https://www.pdf-online.com/osa/repair.aspx for my newer test file, I get
these diagnostics:
Open file.
Analyze Objects.
Analyze Outlines.
Analyze Pages.
0x8041050E - E - The name R10 of a pattern dictionary resource is unknown.
    - File: PDF-shfill-bug.pdf
0x80410113 - E - The file is corrupt and cannot be repaired. Some of the
contents can possibly be recovered.
    - Page No.: 1
    - File: PDF-shfill-bug.pdf
Save output file.
0x8041050E - E - The name R10 of a pattern dictionary resource is unknown.
    - Page No.: 1
    - File: PDF-shfill-bug.pdf
Close file.
