In case the user changes the resolution, this resolution has to be written to
the image. In case the user does not touch that field, the image should not
change in that respect, which means would still be empty for the "cat"-image.

I can confirm that. Please write a bug report. It works in Draw, if you use
File>Export instead.

I can confirm that. Please write a bug report.

There might be an error in the way LibreOffice has implemented "crop". I will
look, how it is specified in the standard.
