I tried it and I am able to change the heading of a pivot table just fine.
However, because I know next to nothing about pivot tables, it might be that I
am doing it in a way that is not what you mean. Therefore, you should explain

1) what is a pivot table heading exactly (the exact steps to create it starting
even before Insert - Pivot Table)
2) how are you trying to change it and how is it refusing to change

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the information.
