It seems to me that coping or cutting text randomly does not update the
clipboard so the previous clipboard entry is pasted rather than the copy/cut
which has just been done. This is more frustrating with CUT because you loose
what has just been CUT but the issue extends also to COPY. Therefore I dont see
it as a paste issue since pasting works - it just pastes old text from the
clipboard which should have been overwritten by the previous Copy/Cut.

I'm no expert - my work around is to hammer ctrl+c 5 or 6 times to ensure that
my text is definitely in the clipboard before cutting or copying anything.

RE Bug 57147:

My issue appears different to this bug. Libre office does not hang or
experience any issues with unresponsiveness. It is rock solid but it seems that
the clip board is not updated with the latest cut or copy. This seems to occur
completely randomly ie. not after a predetermined number of copies or cuts.
Copy/Cut then paste works a couple of times then it doesn't then it does. Its
not a total failure needing a restart as in this bug.

RE Bug 116983:

The options to Edit-paste, Edit-Paste_Special and Right_Click-Paste
Right_CLick-Paste_Special are not greyed out as in this bug.
