Bug ID: 138366
Summary: Vertical text position within a text box is wrong
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.0.3.1 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: hannes.etl at gmx.net
Description:
In Libre Office Writer, the spacing after a text within a text box is ignored
when the text is vertically aligned at the bottom of the text box.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Microsoft Word.
2. Insert a Text Box into the document.
3. Insert any text into the Text Box (e.g. Text)
4. Change the "Spacing After" of the paragraph of the inserted text (e.g.
Spacing After = 10pt).
5. Change the "Verical alignment" of the Text Box to "Bottom"
6. Save the document.
Actual Results:
In Microsoft Word you can see that the text is vertically aligned at the bottom
of the text box, but there is a gap at the bottom due to the "Spacing after" of
the paragraph.
In Libre Office Writer you can see that the text is vertically aligned at the
bottom of the text box BUT there is NO gap at the bottom, because the "Spacing
after" of the paragraph is NOT considered.
Expected Results:
Libre Office Writer should consider the "Spacing after" of the paragraph when
the text is aligned at the bottom of the text box.
Reproducible: Always
