Summary: Can't select some body text with the mouse, when a

           Product: LibreOffice

                OS: Linux (All)

          Priority: medium

Very short sample document

Some words in the body of a document cannot be selected, while other words near
them can.
Attempting to select portions of the text via the mouse, sets the insertion
point to the the chapter heading (or, in the sample document I've provided, it
sets it to the footer of the first blank page), and won't allow drag selection
or double click selection of many parts of the text.

Some selections can be performed by the arrow keys.

If I delete the comment on the first paragraph, the text can all be selected as
usual.

In the sample document, in the following text, I cannot select the words "She
flung", "Instantly, confusion", "she reached out", and more. Basically, it
appears that I can't select any of the text near the left of the page.

Some of the sample text:

She flung herself out into welcoming darkness. Free!
Instantly, confusion overwhelmed relief. Floating now, she reached out aching
fingers to a splinter of crystal, glinting as it spun. One touch sent it
twisting away into a gathering wind.

Please note that this is an excerpt from my new book, so the text is copyright,
but I'm happy to grant full use of the text for the purpose of investigating
and fixing this bug.
