Bug ID: 137431
Summary: LO 7.02 displays corrupted math formulas in all apps
except Writer
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.0.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Formula Editor
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: silvandy at katamail.com
Description:
Open the attached impress file: there is a math formula with large parentheses
in it. Up till version 6 this was displayed ok in all applications. Now in rel.
7 the formula is displayed correctly in Writer ONLY: all other apps show it
with grotesquely thick parentheses, with spacing gone totally berserk (check
the items with red arrows pointing to them for example.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open an impress file, then insert any math formula using scalable brackets
2. during editing, brackets look ok.
3. when you finish editing and exit the formula, all scalable brackets become
ugly and wrongly spaced with the other elements, like in the attached example
4. if you copy the formula and paste it into a writer document, then you can
see it correctly there - otherwise in Impress, Draw and calc the formula
displays with the nasty brackets; there you can have it correctly displayed
only if you open it for editing
Actual Results:
The corrupted displays of formulas in Impress make it very hard to use it for
presentations on quantitative subjects. Release 6 DID NOT have this problem
Expected Results:
Formula with scalable brackets should display correctly in all applications
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
