Bug ID: 137572
Summary: CTRL+D triggers underline.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.0.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: f.thaler at posteo.net

Underline Synonyms
CTRL+D triggers the underline-function, as does CTRL+U. The difference between
them is:
1. When hovering over the underline-button, the yellow pop-up tells me the
proper shortcut: CTRL+U. It doesn't mention CTRL+D.
2. According to my (limited) understanding of the English language, CTRL+U
makes sense. It means Control + Underline. I can't think of any synonym of
"underline" that starts with a D. (See attached screenshot of some English
synonyms.)
I have set parts of my system to the German language. However, just as in
English, i can't see any linguistic reason for CTRL+D.
Solution: I suggest either getting rid of the CTRL+D-command, or indicating
it's viability, just as it's done with CTRL+U when hovering over the
underline-button.
