Nifty. That worked well for the left side. It took a bit of effort to get it to
work in the middle or right side. Either using the cursor to go back and forth
a few times, or pressing enter - all seemed to help, but still a bit hit or
miss. When it doesn't work, it just does nothing at all - no deletes and no
forming a composed character.
