Have created an external form for a database.
Table as datasource for this form.
Changed some content.
No saving of the *.odt-file is necessary.

So I couldn't confirm the buggy behavior with OpenSUSE 15.1 64bit rpm Linux.
Tested with LO 6.2.6.2 and newer versions like LO 6.4.6.2 or LO 7.0.3.1
Older versions of LO aren't running here with Base. I haven't installed such an
old version of Java, that will work with that old versions.
