Bug ID: 136567
Summary: IN Writer, can only paste copied text once, a second
time there is no response
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.2.3.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: agreeman at gmx.com
Description:
Copying text from another (text) file into existing Writer document, Since the
last version 6 and the new versions of 7 (both) can only paste once. To paste
more I have to save AND close the file, and reopen. Can then paste again -
once. And so forth. Not happening in other applications, only Libre. Using
Windows 10 (updates automatic so cannot say if that is an issue). Sometimes
between pastings I change the typeface. (So paste in a section in Courier
(say) and then a section in Palatino - the second section does not paste.
Somewhat randomly if the typeface remains the same it will do a second paste -
but no more. But usually even that does not happen). I have a AMD Ryzen 5
processore with Vega 11 built in graphics.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.An existing Writer file with some text already.
2. Copy more text from somewhere (just basic text)
3. Select your typeface
4. Paste into Writer
5. Copy more text elsewhere and paste again (it will not).
6. Save file and close it.
7. Reopen.
8. Paste the second text block - it will.
9. Wash rinse repeat.
Actual Results:
Only pastes in new text the first time
Expected Results:
Should paste in over and over
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Tested this in safe mode and it persists ie I think it is not my user profile.
