Depends on what you mean with structure. I'm very sloppy PS/ CS style user :-).

I prefer to grow gradually, instead of a disruptive switch. I'm working with DF
formatting.. And start to play with Styles. And this working so nicely, so a
start using Styles even more. However the reality is that document is riddled
with unnoticable DF formatting (they bold button turned off suggested Direct
formatting is turned off. Currently it means: bold button turned off could
mean: A) there is no DF formatting at all or B) there is DF, namely unbold.
They problem: A you can't tell. B) it's intervening with usage of styles in an
unproductive manner.

I certainly want to do what I did back then.. i'm surely not 'converted' to a
PS/CS user. The OLD DF work-flow must stay as it is :-). They only thing I want
is to make the switch between DF and PS/CS easier without any change to the DF
experience. Which is the case.. They only group who is affected are PS/CS users
who press CTRL+B (2x), because the might want to change the PS/CS style to BOLD
in the feature, but the text in question should be unbold in any case.

However this never worked.. As unbold text means, DF unbold in the whole
document (as Luke pointed out)
