            Bug ID: 137145
Summary: Use Unicode symbols instead of ASCII in translatable
                    strings
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: Inherited From OOo
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: UI
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: fitojb at ubuntu.com

Replace characters like “:” for ratios with U+2236 (∶), x’s for real
multiplication signs (×), hyphens for minus signs (−), and substitute straight
apostrophes and quotation marks with “ and ”, per
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Guidelines/UIWriting#Typography

It’d be awesome to have checks in place to avoid reintroducing ASCII in
translatable strings, like Mozilla has.
