Bug ID: 141628
Summary: Varying line space
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.4.6.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: levelobleu at riseup.net
Description:
Hi, and first of all I'm really grateful for libreOffice to exist, thank you
(and all)!
Bug: the space between two lines vary. For example two lines are separated by a
blank space of the same visual size, but one allows writing a line of text in
between, the other not. Also sometimes in the visual for two lines with no
possible writing line can be different, one small, the other larger.
Sorry i could not say from the options available what my hardware is. It's a
laptop PC Thinkpad X201.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.write any amount of text
2.press enter once
3.
Actual Results:
A: end of one line, i press enter once = the usual non-writable blank space
between two lines is created.
B: end of another line in the same text file, i press enter once: a bigger
blank space is created than in A, wide enough for a text line to fit, but it is
just unusable blank line space
C: Sometimes two blank line spaces appear smaller than in B, but still slightly
different one from another
Expected Results:
varying blank space line (and by this I mean blank space where you can't write
any text)
equal space created by one press Enter button, by two, three, and so on
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Version : 6.4.6.2
Build ID : 1:6.4.6-0ubuntu0.20.04.1
Threads CPU : 4; OS : Linux 5.4; UI Render : par défaut; VCL: gtk3;
Locale : fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Langue IHM : fr-FR
Calc: threaded
Difference between A and B is illustrated by screenshot named A-and-B, the
highlighted space does not allow text, even if it appears of the same size of
the space between the central paragraph (Babington leek) and the next
(Poirier-canard), wich allows text line.
Second screenshot, named secondscreenshot, illustrate C.
This is not new, I notice this since some months (maybe since ever? can't
remember). Gil Scott Heron "I'm new here" is a great song.
