Bug ID: 141693
Summary: SpellCheck leaves cursor at beginning of corrected
word
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: dave.docfound at nathanson.org
Description:
After using right-click menu to spellcheck/correct a misspelled word, LO leaves
the cursor at the beginning of the word, an awkward decision which requires
intervention to proceed typing additional words. Many other apps (this text
entry box in FireFox) leave the cursor in a more desirable location, at the end
of the corrected word, where it is ready to continue with forward progress.
Even if you don't necessarily see this as a problem, it is likely that you also
don't see any benefit to leaving the cursor at the beginning of a word over
leaving the cursor at the end of the word.
Please adjust LO to put the cursor at the end of the word after spell check
makes a correction.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.misspell a word
2.right-click on the word & select the correct spelling
3.notice where the cursor is left... Before the corrected word.
Actual Results:
Cursor is placed before the corrected word
Expected Results:
Expected to see cursor placed after the spell check corrected word.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
[Information automatically included from LibreOffice]
Locale: en-US
Module: TextDocument
[Information guessed from browser]
OS: Mac OS X (All)
OS is 64bit: no
