I will also add that the behavior with David CLM is the exactly same for me
with Liberation Sans.

With font family such as Noto Sans Hebrew and Frank Ruehl CLM, the behavior is
very similar, except that in the Insert Special Character dialog we see the
Dagesh/Mapiq dot slight outside and to the left of the dotted circle.

If you'd like, I can attach a screenshot of the Insert Special Character with
the two different families.
