            Bug ID: 141952
Summary: Display and width of side panels
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.0.0.3 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: bentusiii at yahoo.fr

Description:
It seems sidepanel have been redesigned from v.7. It is much clearer an "in the
state of art" now but i was very sorry they can't be shrinked as before so the
main document window could be set wide enough. It is especially annoying when
"right" / "style" panel is displayed along "navigator" panel on the other side.
Both can reduce main document (in Writer or Calc) to some half the screen
width. But it is very annoying when trying to work on two different documents
tiled windows.

Thus, with last update (manjaro) it seems that navigator window can't be tiled
to the window's edge to become a panel anymore... crazyness ! doing so oblige
user to tile navigator as a separate window, reducing the top toolbar width and
add copmlexity in weindows navigation (alt+tab).

Please could one fix these small settings to something as user friendly as
previous v.6 ??? Thanks

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open two writers documents and tile the two windows side by side.
2. open style panel on the right side (shrink at max to reduce it's own witdth)
and navigator as a panel on the left side (now it seem navigator can't be
paneled anymore)
3. set zoom to "optimal width" and try to work on the text !!! :) (especially
on low resolution screens)

Actual Results:
not user friendly for "hard working" on Writer's multiple documents (copy texte
frome one to another for instance), or take notes on the go on complex
hierarchized document during online lessons...

Expected Results:
side panels would be shrinkable to the boreder so main document frame could be
displayed wider.
Plus : arrows to expand side panel could be reduced or moved in iam to gain few
(10-20) pixels of display.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes
