I did some messing around with it and found a workaround. Holding down Option
will copy the currently selected column and allow it to be inserted next to a
target column. The original column could then be deleted.
I haven't tested this on Linux (will try to do that later) or Windows, so I'm
not sure if there's a similar workaround.
Excel supports moving cells by:
1. select a column/row
2. hold shift while clicking at the edge of the column next to a cell, not the
header
3. release the click in the desired location before releasing shift
This works on my Mac (Catalina).
