Bug ID: 143690
Summary: HTML tables with footer (tfoot tag) pasted in Calc are
loosing footer data
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.1.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: quentin.delance at gmail.com
Description:
If I select a HTML table with lines in a tfoot tag, then try to paste it in
Calc, the table is pasted correctly but I loose all lines in tfoot.
My HTML seems to be fine and this can be reproduced with steps below. Note that
Google Spreadsheet has the same limitation (I cannot test with Excel though).
I tried to modify HTML so that tfoot is inserted between thead and tbody (seems
to be valid with HTML5, not with HTML4), but the behaviour is the same.
Note that if I paste this table in Writer, all lines are correctly pasted, this
problem is restricted to Calc.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Generate HTML table with tfoot, for exemple this one:
https://developer.mozilla.org/fr/docs/Web/HTML/Element/tfoot
2. Select the table, copy/paste it in Calc
3. A popup is displayed, choose automatic (default choice)
Actual Results:
Table is pasted but without tfoot lines. In the example found on
https://developer.mozilla.org/fr/docs/Web/HTML/Element/tfoot, only 3 out of the
4 lines are pasted
Expected Results:
Table should be pasted with all 4 lines.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
