I think this is the explanation:
Test: Abcd is not "B Test: /B Abcd" with "stop Bold" but "B Test: not-B Abcd"
with direct format od not-Bold.
Can be seen if format is cleared before paste. 
Doesn't make sense but it's an old issue, just hard to find where mentioned
first.  
I see a similar report, although I think there is an older one.
