Looking at your screenshot, you are using the "Colibre" icon set, which is only
suitable for light theme.  You need to change the icon set manually, by going
to Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View > Icon Style.  Since Colibre doesn't
have a corresponding dark set, you likely want to choose "Breeze (dark)" or
"Breeze (SVG + dark)".  Click OK button to apply the change, and the new icons
should match your dark KUbuntu theme well.  Please test and report back.

It is indeed a problem that LibreOffice can't recognize the desktop
environment's dark theme and automatically switch to a dark icon set and dark
application color scheme (not available in 7.1.5, new in 7.2).  But there is
probably already a bug (or multiple bugs) for that.
