Bug ID: 140359
Summary: Equation pushed out of page when a pasted image
intersects with it
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 6.1.5.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: user234683 at tutanota.com
Description:
If the image is pasted in just the right position, such that it overlaps with
the equation, the equation will disappear. Closer inspection reveals that there
is an equation object below the page boundary, but it cannot be moved.
Saving the document when the equation is in this state will save it correctly.
The equation will be where it was originally when the document is reopened.
Though the equation object cannot be moved, it can be cut and pasted and put
back.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download the attached document and the attached image
2. Open the attached image in GIMP
3. Under Edit, select "Copy Visible" in order to copy the image data.
4. Open the document
5. Move the cursor to the position right after the colon at the end of the last
sentence.
6. Use CTRL+V to paste the image
7. Use CTRL+Z to undo the image paste
Actual Results:
The bottom-most two equations appear to be missing, even after using CTRL+Z
Expected Results:
The equations should have been moved to a new page correctly, and the CTRL+Z
should have resulted in the equations being back to where they were.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Tested on version 6.1.5.2 in Debian. Also tested on the latest version
(7.1.0.3) in Windows 7.
