thanks for the reply Noora.. I'm happy to hear the bug is not in version
7.2.alpha. Is there a way I myself can verify this.. I can't seem to find a
downloadable v7.2 to test.. I'm using windows 10 desktop.. 

and could you kindly verify this is a bug in v7.1 .. because I'm pretty sure
this has been a reproducible issue I've been having ever since i began using
libreofffice some 10 or more years ago..
