Definitely Skia related. Have no issue with default GDI rendering (through
current master), nor with OpenGL rendering with a 7.0.4 build that still
includes it.

Attachment 168977 is a nice simple reproducer with DejaVu font. 

STR select all and change from DejaVu Serif to DejaVu Sans or DejaVu Sans
Condensed.
