Bug ID: 139750
Summary: Calc display does not follow when there are cells of
differing height
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.0.3.1 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: wa7qok at protonmail.com
Description:
One of my sheets in a Calc document has many lines that have lower row height
than the rest of the sheet. Why: After data has been used, I shrink the row
height so that the rows remain readily accessible, yet do not take up a full
measure of screen space. It works fine in all version 6.n.n programs.
I have tried the latest 7.n.n programs, and the cell identifier and display do
not follow. Take cell B200 (below the shrunken lines). It does not display
properly in the sheet. The correct row box (200)is lit up as selected, the
Column box is identified properly (B), but the highlight area that should be at
B200 is somewhere near B185...and not always fully in a cell. It could span
part of B184 and part of B185. When I remove the 7.n version and reinstall the
6.n version, my data displays properly
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a spreadsheet
2.Go down about 150 rows.
3.Change row height on 49 rows to .02
4.Enter data on rows 200-300
5.select B250
Actual Results:
While the B column will be highlighted at top of screen, and the 250 row on the
left side will be highlighter, the outlined cell will NOT be B250. It will be
somewhere above the proper area.
Expected Results:
I simply uninstalled version 7nn and went back and downloaded version 6nn. I
did not try the above steps to reproduce on any new sheet, but the above is a
summation of my spreadsheet. Nothing else is extraordinary, just the row
heights.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
If my explanation is unclear, I can go back and reinstall version 7 and send a
screen shot of the faulty cell display. I believe the altered row heights is
what causes the problem, because my other sheets in the spreadsheet will
display properly as they have just a standard row height, and the cells ABOVE
the shrunken cells on the effected sheet are fine. Something with the altered
rows is preventing the display from highlighting the proper position o the
screen.
