Thank you for your response.
I understand your point that LO has done its job by creating the interactive
.pdf document.
I accept that it is my problem to deal with the product.

My original thought was that the interactive form be "sealable" or somehow left
in an inactive state following client data entered and saved. Presently, saving
the document with fresh data entered also saves the 'interactability' of the
document, thus rendering it subject to tampering. I recognize that this would
be an extension of LO's capability re: interactive .pdf creation, therefore,
perhaps technically not a bug.

There is a clumsy workaround that requires the client to "print" a soft copy of
their filled-in form to another .pdf file. This second file of the client's
data is no longer interactive and can be saved and sent to those making the
inquiry, thus preserving the integrity of the client's data. This workaround is
OK for those with some computer savvy, but difficult for those with limited
computer skills.
