Roland, are you sure in this:

1. Paste "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisici elit" in a Writer
document.
2. Double click the word "ipsum" -> the word "ipsum" is selected
4. Move the cursor over "dolor" -> "ipsum dolor" is selected
5. Move the cursor over "sit" -> "ipsum dolor sit" is selected

??? I'm not

I see on step 3 that it still selected only "ipsum". After double click on one
word I get selected the word and if I move the cursor to another word I still
have selected only the one word.

Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community

may be we have another behavior in vcl:kf5 ???
