Some more information would be really helpful. Especially a sample document
demonstrating the problem 

It surely more specific compared to "text in the current paragraph is randomly
altered or removed". Else there would be flood of bug reports 

There are plenty of variables
File format: ODT/DOC/DOCX
Track & Changes on/off (hidden/visible)
To even broken file issues or some LO profile corruption

Is really happening to every file? 

That's a sample file would give some information to verify
