            Bug ID: 142890
Summary: LibreOffice fails to open some files
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 6.4.7.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Base
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: serdukoff at gmail.com

Description:
LibreOffice fails to open files that have non-Latin characters in the filename.
Please see attachments. Looks like it once has been reported some years ago
regarding version 4.x
Well, please accept my congratulations, it is still there in 6.4.7.2... what a
shame! :-(
I am really frustrated. I know this software is free, so I'm not supposed to
complain. But it should work somehow, anyway. I would prefer buying MS Office
instead because I must work! Unfortunately, MS Office is not available for my
Kubuntu 20.04 LTS.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a file with some non-Latin characters, like Cyrillic or Japanese.
2.Try opening it, no matter if you just click on the file or use "Open..."
menu.

Actual Results:
File cannot be opened at all. It only works if I rename the file to something
100% Latin.

Expected Results:
File should be opened just like any other.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Can be reproduced from both NTFS and ext4 partitions.
