That's a pity, I like your UX-focused argumentation. Don't become upset and
discouraged if some (including me) disagree with your ideas. Keep in mind that
we get many enhancement proposals and need to focus on essential tasks.

You can reopen a ticket (I will not close in this case), find supporters, and
also submit a patch.
