@Justin
As one of my favorite developers for asking. A case which kind of out your area
(but related). starting point: I kind of dislike massive layout shifting (as a
user experience and performance related)
However the example here is complicated. The image position/ size is not in
line with paragraphs. So somewhat in the middle of paragraphs. This causes wrap
to do all sorts of spacing things. To get text around the image (not literally,
depending on type of wrap, but all wraps show this issue in one way or
another).
The effect is caused by an combination of font size / image position/ or image
size interacting. The combined effect having pretty heavy influence on layout
and distribution of text and images around pages. The outcome feels kind of
'random' to me.
However no clue what the alternative/solution could/should be. Anchor as
character has the advantage that the image equals a character. So this doesn't
happen (I think).
I could think of less free form (more 'snapping to more 'ideal positions'
instead of free float). To avoid all the drifting of text and such (by default)
Kind of what Draw does, I think? (press shift makes it possible to to exact).
But well not sure if (a) this seen as problem (b) which alternatives there are
(c) and what the advantages/objections of the alternatives are.
Note: someone will be annoyed by any change, I guess. Maybe the current
approaching being the 'optimum' already; I'm reluctant/skeptical, but it's
surely possible.
