          Hardware: All
                OS: All

          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium

feature request: request a keyboard sequences mode in addition to the current
keyboard shortcuts / hotkeys mode

All versions of LibreOffice, all hardware.

PROBLEM: Have run out of suitable keyboard shortcuts to apply for styles and
it has slowed my productivity significantly. Hopefully LibreOffice will be
flexible enough to allow extension from "keyboard shortcuts / hotkeys " to
"keyboard sequences"

PROPOSAL / ENHANCEMENT / FEATURE REQUEST:

It would be extremely handy to implement keyboard sequences (as opposed to
keyboard shortcuts / hotkeys). For those of you unfamiliar with the game ArmA
II / Arma III (aka Armed Assault), the military sandbox has so many controls
and options that Ctrl, Alt and Shift modifiers are simply not enough to cover
all controls. To add more controls the games developers have used a keyboard
sequence where the user can hold down say "Ctrl + KeyA" to walk or hold down
Ctrl, tap and release press key A once, then press and hold keyA to run. So it
essentially recognises double taps. In this way the user can customise their
keys without issue and the problems of duplicate key bindings can be resolved.

This mechanism is not the same as the keyboard sequencing in Microsoft office.
Microsoft Office keyboard sequencing relies on order to select menus without
having to hold down any keys whereas the ArmA style sequencing allows
double-keypresses.

by pressing [2xQ] for left or [2xE] for right side."
