Bug ID: 140920
Summary: [Configuration]Insufficient user interaction when
adding an icon theme via "Add more icon themes via
extension" button
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.1.1.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: UI
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: pierre-yves.samyn at laposte.net
Description:
Version 7.1 brings the possibility to add icon themes via Tools> Options>
LibreOffice>View by clicking on the "Add more icon themes via extension"
button.
After choosing an icon theme and clicking Install it is not indicated that a
restart is needed to take into account the new theme and the drop-down list of
installed themes is not updated.
As for the "classic" installation of extensions, it should be displayed :
For the extension to work properly, LibreOffice must be retarted. Do you want
to restart LibreOffice now ?
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create or open a document
2.Tools> Options> LibreOffice>View> Icon Style
3.Click "Add more icon themes via extension"
4.Select a theme not installed by default (i.e. High contrast)
5.Click Install & Close
Actual Results:
the "Icon style" dropdown list is not updated (of course, the extension is not
yet deployed)
Expected Results:
A dialog box displays:
For the extension to work properly, LibreOffice must be retarted. Do you want
to restart LibreOffice now ?
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
