It just allows to have all release versions installed paralell that were
released since 3.5 plus nightlies.

The build IDs are valid. These are the 7.0.0 and 7.1.0 versions:

Since the first report my machine was upgraded to Windows 10, now even bibisect
repo shows the symptom. 
It's important though that you have to click on the slide background next to
the playing video, so that highlight moves away to break the playback.

The problem still happens for me in current bibisect-7.2:
