Bug ID: 141343
Summary: VIEWING: Writer Master Document: Navigator toggle
button will not toggle back to master view
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.1.1.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: patrick at scphotographic.com
Description:
I created a LO Master document. I clicked the toggle button in the Navigator
window. It changed the view to the normal (not master) view Navigator, as
expected. But when I clicked the button again I could not get back to the
Master View. This state persists despite closing LO, re-booting and reopening
LO. I cannot get back to the Navigator Master View. I have reproduced this
behaviour on two machines.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open (or create) a .odm master document
2. Save the document as a master document
3. Click on the toggle view button in the Navigator - the Navigator window
changes to the one for an .odt document.
4. Click the toggle view button again - the view toggles between the short and
long views of the normal view but does not revert to the master view.
5. This state persists after closing LO, re-booting and reopening LO. I cannot
get back to the master view within LibreOffice.
Actual Results:
I cannot now return the Navigator window to the Master View.
Expected Results:
The toggle button should - er - toggle between the two states. At worst
restarting LO should make the Master View available.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
When I have posted this report I will try a repair installation to see if that
makes the Master View available again and post again. I can't re-boot the
system without either posting this or losing it.
