Bug ID: 142060
Summary: Page styles not correctly assigned
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.1.0.3 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: yves.vanhal at gmail.com
Description:
I want to create a document which uses different page styles.
The first page gets the appropriate "First page" profile.
On the second (and following pages, if necessary) I want to have an
automatically generated index. Logically, this page gets the page style Index
After the index, I want to use multiple pages with the page style Standard,
which have a footer, containing a page number starting from 1.
When the index (inserted on the second page) exceeds the limit of one page, the
page which is added gets the page style Standard. This results in adding the
footer to that page, showing a page number, which is not the intended
behaviour.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new document
2. Change the page style to First page
3. Add a new page, giving it the page style Index
4. Add a new page, giving it the page style Standard
5. Insert headings on the third page (Heading 1 and heading 2)
6. Copy and paste the headings to new pages (more than 35 pages to be sure)
7. Insert the index on page 2
8. Observe the page style on the third page (which contains the overflowing
index)
Actual Results:
The page does not have the correct page style
Expected Results:
The page should have the same page style as the page on which the index is
placed
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Problem was first detected on version 7.1.2.2
