Bug ID: 142190
Summary: Writer Style Inspector: user feedback about
"malfunctions"
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.1.3.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org

Simple sample document
LO 7.1.3.2; Linux 5.11; VCL kf5
Display Style Inspector in side pane. Enter some text. Style paragraphs at
least with Text Body. Put cursor in a styled paragraph (i.e. NOT Default
Paragraph Style).
* Bad vertical scrollbar
Style Inspector displays properties of current styles, i.e. those explicitly
set in the style definition to make a difference with the style ancestor. To
see the attributes of the ancestor, you expand the ancestor definition (e.g.
Default Paragraph Style) clicking on the arrow at left of ancestor name.
This may cause the list of attributes to overflow at bottom of pane, e.g. with
Default Paragraph Style. A vertical scrollbar is automatically added to the
side pane.
However this scrollbar allows to scroll only a few lines and not the whole
style definition.
* Wrong direct formatting report
Attach a numbering style to a paragraph style (e.g. Bullet to List 1). Put the
cursor in such a paragraph.
The style inspector report the bullet/numbering as direct formatting, which
formally is not the case.
I attach a simple sample document to show the issues.
