Additional observations:
 * Cannot create new links (as described by original reporter)
 * If I open an exisiting ODS, which already has external http links, LO will
refuse to update them "Die Verknüpfung konnte nicht aktualisiert werden." (as
described by original reporter)
 * If I open the existing ODS with MS Excel, the links can be updated (to be
honest, I was surprised that Excel is so compatible...)

Perhaps some permissions issue, that only affects linux/mac? Is there any log
file, I could check for errors?
