            Bug ID: 142477
Summary: improve resizing column behavior: currently lacking
                    preview and minimal width
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.2.0.0 alpha1+ Master
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: lo at disr.it

Description:
Resizing columns is currently lacking preview and minimal width.

Steps to Reproduce:
Resize column in calc

Actual Results:
1. no preview is shown to convey to the user what their change will look like.
2. no minimal width is defined allowing (maybe intended, but imo not good UX)
to hide column, probably more likely to result in unexpected results and
confusion.

Expected Results:
1. showing a preview while users drag column separator left / right would be
helpful to show to users what they are chaning and what the results will look
like *before* committing to the change.
2. implementing a minimal width and by that preventing unintended hiding of
columns.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

#2) and LibreOffice.
