Bug ID: 142569
Summary: Drag &drop dangerously broken under linux/wayland:
unpredictable errors occur
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.0.6.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Impress
Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
Reporter: thomas.engels at tnt.tu-berlin.de
Description:
I run LO under Fedora 33 with wayland.
Drag and drop from the filebrowsers is completely broken and results in
dangerous unexpected behavior. This is a critical problem: if one drags and
drops an image to a presentation, and just something random happens, then this
is a serious problem for presenters
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an LO Impress presentation under linux/wayland (in my case Fedora 33)
2. Drop and image to it
3. Observe errors
Actual Results:
Weird, unexpected errors: Slides are deleted, duplicated, inserted from other
files, etc. Seems to be related to old clipboard content.
Expected Results:
I expect to include the dropped image in the slide
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
