According to LibreOffice help page [1] the option about "empty cells / blank
cells" (documentation inaccuracy here) seems to be designed to have a different
meaning than one may expect. This option assures, if used in conjunction with
"Tools - Detective - Mark invalid Data", being marked as invalid data. It seems
not to be designed to cause an "invalid data" error message (popup).
