There was a scaling option in older versions, such as 4.2.0.1, which was a
workaround.

Bug 101646 reports that it was removed for 5.3.0.0. Bug 105873 reports that it
was still present in 5.3.0.3 and requests an option to disable it.

There is no scaling option in 5.3.0.1.

I have an awful migraine from trying to read the preferences to test these.
