I have to admit that the only app that is giving me problems in plasma
(wayland) is libreoffice (on my laptop adding scaling problem). 
The mentioned workaround (QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb) is working but I really feel
that solving kt5 problems should be quite urgent.
