Note 1: the drag the anchor is slightly bugged: bug 144611

------

Note 2: To prevent misunderstanding: My primary concern is that the default
settings for objects vary a lot across the board.. I see the current state more
as historic process, based on incident & chaos. Like unfinished conversion
(anchoring). Some look like mistakes: Paragraph *text* area/ paragraph area.

The main request being that UX evaluates anchoring, alignment, wrapping
defaults for the individual objects and integral 'anchor able objects as a
whole'. Keeping in mind that user predictability decreases if you have plenty
of objects with all their own defaults.

It's impossible for me to tell the bigger picture/vision out how the individual
objects behave. Or what the merits behind all those individual difference are.
I think those variety of defaults having no purpose at all. Except - possibly -
something (extension, unit test) somewhere relying on the current state of
affairs.

I'm convinced that there being bugs related to this, however it quite hard to
tell right from wrong.

-----

I do share Dieters view on documentation part (Help). Some kind of UX technical
documentation at certain website (wiki) would be nice. Especially if the
multitude of defaults are kept.
