Due to ongoing issue with application startup, I can only test this issue in
safe mode, and when using that mode, and also creating a new user profile for
test purposes, the application does not fail. I cannot test in full live mode
at present due to ongoing problem with application not loading on startup, 
reportud under bug ID 144630, which is still present with a default user
profile created as a result of renaming my live profile.  

I have been waiting to ensure that the daily upload has been suitably patched,
but I am not completely confident of my ability to test this mode alongside the
existing install, so have been proceeding carefully in order to avoid
compromising my system.
