I report partial success:

I appended
<item oor:path="/org.openoffice.Office.Common/VCL"><prop oor:name="UseSkia"
oor:op="fuse"><value>false</value></prop></item>

to the registrymodifications.xcu

and now Libreoffice application and all the components start up!
