            Bug ID: 144778
Summary: Exported epub file will not pass validation.
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.2.1.1 rc
          Hardware: All
                OS: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs at lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: Lee at Higbie.name

Description:
Many (probably most) e-book wholesalers and retailers require that epub files
pass validation. Exporting a reasonably complex document produces scores of
errors and even my simple documents do not validate.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open or create a document
2. Select Export As > Export as EPUB...
3. Select Version EPUB 2.0
4. Click OK

Actual Results:
With a trivially small file, the validator produces:
ERROR: D:\Documents\Working
Files\EpubTest.epub/OEBPS/sections/section0001.xhtml(2): element "title" from
namespace "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" not allowed in this context

ERROR: D:\Documents\Working
Files\EpubTest.epub/OEBPS/sections/section0001.xhtml(2): element "title" from
namespace "http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" not allowed in this context

Check finished with warnings or errors!

Expected Results:
The epub file should pass validation so it can be sold through normal retail
outlets, not just distributed to friends.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
The contents of the document that produced the errors above was:
Test epub export from LibreOffice. I will export this and run the exported
version through the “Discovery ePub Validator 1.0” from
http://www.ebook-tool.com.
