Could you try removing Language Tools extension (it is Java based), but you
might also disable the Java JRE--it is a checkbox on the Tools -> Options ->
Advanced panel.
Check if that helps the font list to behave at least as well as does disabling
the font preview as noted in <a href="show_bug.cgi?id=106265#c5">comment 5</a>.</pre>
