<pre>So i had been thinking about the issue more after the meeting and here are some
things that came to mind.
1) As this is a new feature to ODF documents, there are many documents that
have non-optimized images in them, so these images should be optimized when a
document is loaded. (Tomaz mentioned: well.. after loading in a separate
thread)
2) OOXML files have the compressed dpi/ppi setting stored per-file in
/word/settings.xml under <w14:defaultImageDpi>, so we should read/write and use
this setting when such a file is opened.
4) This setting should also be saved and loaded into/from ODF files.
5) The global setting of this feature is going in the options dialog and the
per-file setting would be in the File > Properties dialog.</pre>
